VTB is awarded

On 21 April 2008, VTB Bank was awarded by Global Finance for the highest efficiency achieved among the Russian banks in the forex market. At the ceremony Stars of Russia Awards, organized by the magazine, VTB Group was represented by Vladimir Sokolov, Head of Treasury and Member of the Board of Directors of VTB Europe.

Stars of Russia Award is presented annually to Russian banks that showed the most impressive results in the domestic and foreign markets over the last year. The winners are selected according to such indicators as growth rates, profitability, long-term strategy, quality of customer and counteragent services, and product line innovations. VTB receives Stars of Russia Award for the second year running. In 2007, the Bank was awarded as the best Russian bank and the best commercial bank.

“Our Bank is striving to gain leadership positions in the domestic forex market and in the Russian derivative market, offering competitive pricing for a wide range of financial products” – said Yuri Denisov, Treasury Head in VTB Group.
