 VTB and Banco de la Nacion (Peru) sign a Cooperation Agreement
On 24 November 2008, during an official visit to Peru by Russian President, Dmitry Medvedev, VTB Bank and Banco de la Nacion entered into a Cooperation Agreement.The Agreement is aimed at strengthening partnership relations between VTB and Banco de la Nacion to create favourable conditions for servicing foreign trade turnover between Russia and Peru. In particular, the Agreement provides for enhancing interaction in trade finance, including pre-export financing, and treasury operations. For reference:
Banco de la Nacion was established in 1966. The Bank gives top priority to servicing foreign trade. As a fully state-owned bank, Banco de la Nacion is ranked third in the country in terms of assets (according to the Bankers` Almanac).
