Vnesheconombank and Macquarie Bank Sign Agreement

Today on June 7, in the course of the 22^nd Petersburg International Economic Forum, State Corporation ‘Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs (Vnesheconombank)’ and Macquarie Bank signed an Agreement on Cooperation in implementing Kyoto Protocol provisions aimed at developing conservation policy and preventing climate change.

The Agreement provides for promoting cooperation in selecting, assessing and preparing projects, which would help create favorable conditions for working out, implementing and spreading ecologically safe technologies.

The Agreement also enshrines the two sides’ intentions to jointly explore and work out projects aimed at reducing atmospheric greenhouse gases emissions, assess risks and prepare optimal schemes for funding and supporting such projects and raise funds to finance them jointly.
