The Bank of Moscow Granted Guarantees to OAO Koks for 1041.6 Million Rubles
The Bank of Moscow granted the bank guarantees to OAO Koks for the total of 1041.6 million rubles. The guarantees will ensure OAO Koks’ obligations to pay for the acquired shares of the companies to the shareholders of OAO Ufaleinikel (749.8 million rubles) and ÎÀÎ KMAruda Industrial Complex (291.8 million rubles) in keeping with the requirements of the Federal law «On Joint Stock Companies». Sergey Matiukh, Director General of the Corporate and Investment Business Department of the Bank of Moscow, said: «Granting guarantees to the benefit of OAO Koks is the next step in development of partnership with enterprises of the Industrial and Metallurgic Holding, the Bank of Moscow has been energetically cooperating with OAO Koks since 1999. Overall, in 2007 the client was granted credits for the total amount of over 9.5 billion rubles.» Information about OAO Koks: ÎÀÎ Koks was founded on July 30, 1993 within the framework of the Russian privatization program on the basis of the Chemical Recovery Plant of Kemerovo state enterprise founded in 1924. Extraction of coal and ferruginous quartz rocks, production of the coal and iron-ore concentrates, coke, cast-iron wares, nickel and metal powder products and also production of stainless steel and special steels is the core business of OAO Koks and its associated companies (ÎÀÎ Tulachermet, ÎÀÎ Ufaleinikel, ÎÀÎ KMAruda Industrial Complex, Slovenian Steel Group, ÎÀÎ Polema and others) managed by the Industrial and Metallurgic Holding. Production indices in physical terms for 2007 are as follows: over one million tons of the extracted caking coal, 2.35 million tons of the produced coke, over two million tons of the produced iron-ore concentrate, 2.85 million tons of the produced cast iron, over 16 thousand tons of the produced nickel and about 500 thousand tons of the smelted steel. Production facilities are located in Kemerovo, Tula, Chelyabinsk, Sverdlovsk, Belgorod and Kaluga Regions of the Russian Federations and in the Republic of Slovenia. The products produced by enterprises of the Industrial and Metallurgic Holding are sold in the Russian Federation and abroad. According to the International Financing Reporting Standards of OAO Koks for 2007 the consolidated proceeds exceeded 46 billion rubles and net profit reached 11.5 billion rubles.
