In 2007 total amount of mortgage loans in Ukraine reaches the record number of over $B 9.5

In 2007 the amount of mortgage loans in Ukraine totaled more than USD 9.5bn. Mortgage market is one of the fastest-growing and promising. Nevertheless, nowadays less than one percent of Ukrainians purchase the real estate on loan. According to the Ukrainian National Mortgage Association, “UkrSibbank” remains an unchallenged mortgage leader with the market share of more than 18%. This means that practically every fifth real estate loan in Ukraine is originated by “UkrSibbank”. As of today, the volume of loan portfolio of the Bank tops USD 2bn.
