On 23 July 2009 LOCKO-Bank successfully repaid it’s RUR 2.1 billion Eurobond issue, which was placed in July 2007 via Irish company Locko Finance p.l.c. A number of Eurobonds for the nominal value of around RUR 900 million out of RUR 3 billion initially issued were repurchased earlier at the end of 2008 and in the beginning of 2009. Eurobonds early repurchase was aimed at LOCKO-Bank’s intention to optimize the volume and structure of its external indebtedness, as well as to provide further comfort to its investors and maximize profitability on its securities operations. Another LOCKO-Bank’s US$ Eurobond issue due in March 2010 is currently circulated in the market.
