 Snow leopard as an artistic form
The announcement of results and award ceremony of the open competition of artworks on the best embodiment of a snow leopard image took place in AK BARS Gallery. Competition has been organized by AK BARS Bank and it`s affiliated structure «AK BARS Gallery» with the assistance of the Ministry of Culture and the Artists Union of the Republic of Tatarstan in June 2007. The main idea of the project was to consolidate the efforts of AK BARS Gallery with the efforts of art sphere representatives, which may help them to find the possibilities for future cooperation in their work. Nineteen artists attended the ceremony, 37 exclusive works which were not exhibited earlier were presented during the event. Amateur works were estimated by Ms. Zilya Valeeva, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, Mr.Robert Musin, the Chairman of Board of Directors of AK BARS Bank, Mr. Abrek Abzgildin, the President of Artists Union of the Republic of Tatarstan, Ms. Olga Valeeva CEO of AK BARS Gallery and others. During the election 6 winners and one award winner on three nominations have been pronounced. In the nomination «Picturesque manner of execution» places were distributed as follows: the first place took P.P. Pereljakin, the second place-N.N.Nasanova, the third place shared by T.M. Shajmuhametov and D.V. Pronin (in the co-athorship), the award-winner nomination received N.K.Vinnikova. In the nomination «Individual graphic style» the unique winner was recognized J.A. Ermeev for a set of pictures «Snow leopard`s cub», «Snow care», «Serenity».Except for that the jury acclaimed a special nomination « The snow leopard as the symbol of the Bank and the Republic of Tatarstan».The winner of this nomination was recognized V.V. Skobeev. The artist`s works will be exhibited in the AK BARS Gallery up to the end of May.
