29.04.2008 /Events Sochi Federation of Tennis gained Award of the Bank of Moscow in category "For the Best Warm-Up of Young Tennis Players"

The Bank of Moscow awarded the Sochi Tennis Federation, which became the Bank’s prize winner in the nomination "For the Best Training of Young Tennis Players" following the results of 2007 year.

The awarding ceremony took place in Sochi Riviera Park at opening of the annual closed Spring Tournament organized by the Evgeny Kafelnikov Specialized Junior Olympic Reserve School.

Oleg Bairamov, Director of the Sochi branch of the Bank of Moscow, congratulated Vladimir Sheyanov, the President of the Sochi Federation of Tennis on behalf of the Bank, and expressed his hope for the further development of the Sochi tennis school — as is well-known, Russian tennis players Evgeny Kafelnikov and Maria Sharapova started their way to the star status namely in Sochi.

Noteworthy that Galina Matsneva, head of the Department for Physical Training and Sport of Sochi administration, and Sergey Lukashin, Director of the Specialized Junior Olympic Reserve School, also took part in the awarding ceremony.

We should remind that in the course of the Kremlin Cup-2006, whose general partner is the Bank of Moscow, the Russian Tennis Federation made a decision to evaluate annually professional activities of the regional tennis federations and to nominate the best branch federations to the Award of the Bank of Moscow,

The following federations of tennis gained the Award of the Bank of Moscow following the results of 2007: The Tennis Federation of the Republic of Tatarstan, in category "For the best execution of the regional tennis events", the Tennis Federation of the Samara Region, in category "For the Best Training of Young Tennis Players", and the Tennis Federation of the Republic of Bashkortostan, in category "For achievements in developing tennis infrastructure". By decision of the Russian Tennis Federation, the Award Fund in the amount of USD 20,000 will be equally shared among the winners of the Tennis Federations.
