Mr. Dmitry Ischenko, First Deputy Chairman of the Management Board, Takes Part in “Loan Portfolio” Conference

April 11, 2008, Moscow, Marriott Grand Hotel hosts annual “Loan Portfolio” conference, this year with focus on lending business in the context of the world liquidity crunch.

This event was dedicated to pressing issues of health of banking system within the financial crisis, the conference also featured the discussion on banks’ role as governments’ strategic partners, mechanisms to develop lending market, Russian banks’ debt, borrowing in international markets and attraction of investments, quality and level of financial regulation, etc.
Banking regulators, top-management of Russian and foreign banks, representatives of financial and investment institutions, insurance companies, consultant and lawyer firms, collections agencies, realtors and developers took part in the conference. The first sessions was dedicated analysis of lending needs.

The First Deputy Chairman of the Management Board, Dmitry Ischenko, made a report on “Regional Development and Optimisation of Business Processes” in the second session on Retail Business Development. His report included the analysis of retail business development trends and dynamics of market potential (2004-2011), description of MBRD’s strategic goals, retail banking business models and definition of the Bank’s regional expansion.
