“UkrSibbank” to invite to attend the lecture by Georges Nica “Geography, history and memory pathology”

Alliance Francaise and “UkrSibbank” invite to attend the lecture by Georges Nica “Geography, history and memory pathology” that will take place on April 18 at the Alliance Francaise (104 Gorkogo Str.) at 16.00.

The professor Georges Niva will present a research that is dedicated to a new approach to Russian civilization history. The approach is based not on the consequences of the events but of the memory. The first volume of his book named “Places of Russian memory” is devoted to geography; the author described the places, moments and objects related to feelings and memories of the Russian nation. Two other volumes will be devoted to the history of memory, myths and illnesses, where the notion “illness” is used not in moral but in medical meaning.
