 "The French spring in Ukraine 2007" and UkrSibbank invite Kyivans to attend hip-hop and modern dance-show "Douar"
On April, 11 at 7.00 p.m. the first night of «Douar» performance from the company «Accrorap» will take place in the Ivan Franko National Academic Drama Theatre. Choreographer Kader Attou presents for the first time his show in Ukraine, it being real theatricals, not just a dance. It is a history retold in generations. It is an imperishable memory of the thousands of missing Algerians, who have left their native country in search of better life. It is an ideal harmony of movements and music, light and shadow, in stead of thousands of words. Immigrant from Algeria, Kader Attou in his stylistics have focused on the struggle for survival, fear of loneliness, feeling of uselessness, desire to escape from reality. One, two, three, four! Lights on! People wearing long cloaks move on the stage in silence. The heart of Kyivans will beat in the unison with the rhythm of dancing on April, 11 at 7.00 p.m. Primary sponsor of «The French Spring in Ukraine 2007» JSCIB «UkrSibbank» invites also to attend other events of the festival. The new performance of the eternal play of Shakespeare “Hamlet” will astonish the most experienced spectator. Hip-hop, DJ, rapper, decorations with plasma screens – all this is the 21st-century Hamlet. Cinema Ukraine invites to the traditional Night of short films. The energetic java music will be performed by the “Priska” band, French rock with Slavonic tunes will undoubtedly impress Ukrainians. The before-first-night release festival (films that have not been released yet) will be shown on April 12 -17. The spring has come to Kyiv, not only natural but also French!
