Alfa-Bank announced the appointment of Johann Jonah as Head of Alfa Banking Group, positioned as CEO of the banking group incorporating five banks — in Russia, Ukraine, the Netherlands, Kazakhstan and Belorussia. Alfa Banking Group business model is focused on the most lucrative and dynamically developing segments, investing in high-tech operating platforms and skilled personnel.

Johann Jonah was born in 1962, Austria. Graduate of the Vienna Economic University, specializing in Commercial Science, he is a holder of Master’s Degree in Social and Economic Science. Before joining Alfa-Bank, Johann Jonah served as Chairman of the Board at Raiffeizenbank. From 2006 to 2007 — Chairman of the Board at Raiffeizenbank-Austria. In 2003-2006, Deputy Chairman of the Board at Raiffeizenbank-Ukraine. In 2000-2002, Chairman of the Board at Raiffeizenbank in Bulgaria. In 1999, Member of the Board at Raiffeizenbank-Ukraine. From 1990 to 1995 — Head of CIS Representative Office, Raiffeizen Centralbank, Moscow. Johann Jonah speaks Russian, German, English, Bulgarian and Italian. Johann Jonah is married and has two children.
