 Yuri Voronin Appointed Chairman of European Trust Bank’s Management Board
By decision of the Board of Directors of European Trust Bank Yuri Mikhailovich Voronin has been appointed Chairman of the Management Board. Yuri Mikhailovich Voronin was born in 1969. In 1991, he graduated from Plekhanov National Economy Institute, and in 2002 from the Financial Academy of the Government of the Russian Federation. He has held executive positions at Russian banks for over 15 years. From 1993 to 1998 he held the position of Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of JSCB DialogueBank and from 1998 to 1999 he served as President of Development and Restructuring Bank (since 2003 - DeltaBank). From 1999 to 2006 he held the position of Deputy Chairman of the Management Board in one of URALSIB Financial Corporation’s banks. He is married and has three children. The appointment of a new Chairman of the Management Board has been necessitated by the growth of European Trust Bank’s business operations. In accordance with market requirements, the Bank will broaden its range of products, change the structure of commercial offers and continue its expansion in the regions. Sergey Rudik, former Chairman of the Management Board, has assumed the position of Chief Financial Officer at European Trust Bank. During the term of his office as Chairman of Management Board, Mr. Rudik has carried out a lot of work. In 2006, the bank’s regional network began its dynamic development, the number of client service centers for Migom money transfers more than doubled and reached 4,000 and European Trust Bank was included in Russia’s top 20 mortgage banks according to 2006’s results (RBC rating). Yuri Voronin has commented on his appointment noting that he intends to proceed from the results achieved by his predecessor and to continue building a high-technology and client-friendly commercial bank.
